About Growing Green Together Conference

This conference will present opportunities for increased collaboration between the UK and Uganda across five key themes:

  1. Climate finance
  2. Agribusiness
  3. Clean energy
  4. Clean infrastructure and
  5. Urban planning.

There will be presentations and panel sessions featuring influential players from the UK and Uganda private and public sector who will talk through their experience and share knowledge on how Uganda can benefit from climate smart economic growth.

The conference will be virtual and over two days. Each day will run from 11:30am EAT (8:30am UK time). Speeches will be pre-recorded. Panel sessions will be in person at the BHC and broadcast with live Q+A.

Target group:

  • Trainer with previous experiences in access to finance education, banking, clean energy or climate finance
  • Professionals who wish to enhance their financial evaluation and didactical skills in order to become a trainer in the field of green energy/climate finance

After the TtT-Seminar, participating trainers are:

  • Provided with a starter kit of slides, exercises and additional tools for trainers
  • Equipped with hard facts and soft skills to develop their individual training
  • Capacitated to undertake courses autonomously
